The victorious MCS Munster champions were treated to a celebratory breakfast, welcoming parents and friends to the school to join the team.

Thanks to all who supported the MCS fundraiser to support the Irish Pilgrimage Trust, Cork Group 126, which Aoife Casey and Holly Saunders are travelling with at Easter.

The MCS Senior footballers achieved a memorable victory in horrendous conditions in Rathkeale astroturf today against a very strong fellow community school side, St John Bosco

Kate, Luke, Emma and Anna are off to Croke Park tomorrow for the final stage of the The Certified Irish Angus Beef Schools competition.

Well done to the athletes who represented the school at the Munster Cross Country Finals at the Tramore Valley Park in Cork. MCS was represented ny Labhrás O’Dwyer, Oran Kiely and Lucy O’Sullivan.

The TY school play, one of the longest-running MCS traditions, made a return after six years at a great opening night last night.

The Second Years all took a break from routine at their ‘Day of Reflection’ in the Millstreet Parish Centre with Declan and Ann Marie Brown.

Well done to Taylor Kiely and the TY Group of James Wall, Alan O’Brien, Seamus Moynihan, Matthew McSweeney and Casey Drummond who won prizes at today’s South Cork Student Enterprise Programme Regional Finals.

The Senior Soccer side overcame a very strong Buttevant side today, coming out 3-1 winners in Banteer.

The MCS Lourdes Table Quiz will take place on Friday 1st March 2024 at 8pm in The Wallis Arms.  

The Senior boys football side overcame Gaelscoil Charraig Uí Leighin on the Bishopstown 4G pitch today to qualify for the Muster Final.

The TY School Play, a cornerstone of the TY/5th Year experience in MCS for three decades, returns next week, so make sure you don’t miss a fantastic night out. The show runs from Tuesday to Thursday, 27th, 28th and 29th, starting at 7:30 pm.

The school had a very successful day at the South Munster Cross Country meet, with all athletes achieving very impressive placings in a huge field in challenging conditions.

Ms Lyons and the TY group were welcomed to Finnow Farm today to view Sheahans’ herd, and to bring the classroom learning of Ag. Science to life.
