The TY Gaisce group have been making Christmas preparations in school and today joined the Community Council, creating Santa’s home in the window of Claragh Furniture.

Millstreet CS Hurlers faced Davis College in Banteer and took control early in the game with a flurry of scores. In ideal conditions, on the 4G pitch in calm dry air, Millstreet showed what they could do, clocking up an impressive 7-22 over the hour.

Congratulations to the Senior Boys’ Football side who travelled to Páirc Uí Chaoimh to face Commeragh College from Tipperary, and came away with a great win in a tight game.

The Student Council are appealing to all to bring in non-perishable food items and place them outside the library next week.

Today was a very special day MCS.  Following a visit by a Schools of Sanctuary monitoring team, led by Dr Naomi Masheti from Cork Migrant Centre, our school was granted the status of Champion School of Sanctuary.

All TYs had a fantastic morning with Bernard Casey, who hosted a hugely enjoyable drama workshop.

TYs enjoyed a working lunch courtesy of IRD Duhallow with a guest speaker facilitating a workshop on the EU.

The Junior Camogie team played Croom in the Munster Camogie competition in UL's all-weather pitch.

All students of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and TY groups of Millstreet Community School participated in The Irish Mathematical Olympiad (IrMO).
