MCS- Champion School of Sanctuary

Today was a very special day MCS.  Following a visit by a Schools of Sanctuary monitoring team, led by Dr Naomi Masheti from Cork Migrant Centre, our school was granted the status of Champion School of Sanctuary.  Apart from a shared breakfast and a tour of the school, the team experienced a truly inclusive and diverse  hour of entertainment provided by the students - song, dance, music, poetry, artwork and country profiles.  The award is a credit to all members of the school community, past and present who have helped to make MCS truly a place of sanctuary.
