Millstreet Community School Students Advance to Junk Kouture Finals!

Three talented students from Millstreet Community School—Amanda, Alex, and Smilte—embarked on an exciting journey to Dublin yesterday for the second evening of the Regional Finals of Junk Kouture. Despite the early start, their hard work and creativity paid off as they showcased their stunning entry, Something Blue.

Junk Kouture, a prestigious competition that challenges young designers to create high-fashion pieces from recycled materials, saw an impressive 160 entries over the two evenings of the Regional Finals. Amidst fierce competition, Amanda, Alex, and Smilte’s innovative design stood out, securing them a coveted place in the Grand Finals, set to take place this May.

The entire Millstreet Community School community is immensely proud of their achievement. We wish them the very best as they prepare to compete on the national stage. Congratulations to Amanda, Alex, and Smilte and their teacher Mrs Moynihan for their dedication and creativity!
