Tidy Towns Visit MCS Developments

Today, members of Millstreet Tidy Towns, Gordon O’Keefe and Derry Sheehan, visited the school to view the completed Gym mural.

It was a wonderful project which will continue to lift our spirits into the future. 

We are ever thankful to both IRD Duhallow and Cork County Council Arts Office for their support and assistance in bringing this project to fruition.

The aim of making art accessible to everyone has been realised in the bright colours and variety of symbols used, which encourage students and passersby to look closely at this vibrant piece of work on the MCS Gym wall. 

The energy of the mural is matched by the youthful energy regularly expended in the new MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) beside it each day.

This area to the front of the school has drawn many compliments and transformed the space into an active, geometric colour fest!
