Concern Gender Bias Workshop
Five students from MCS joined other Munster schools in UCC today, to attend a workshop on Gender Equality. The event was run by Concern Worldwide. Students got to participate in walking debates and other activities, all based around the concept of bias and gender stereotypes. Katie Sheehan, Emer Finn, Emily Morris Murray, Jiery Wang and John B. Sheehan represented MCS, building on the Global Citizenship learning over the year. These students took an active part in the Concern Debates program during the school year, competing against three other schools on issues of global justice. Thanks to Ms Coakley and Mrs Twomey for facilitating the vist to Cork.
