Presentation day

First Year Students accompanied Mr O’Síodhcháin and Mrs Moynihan to the annual mass and memorial to mark Presentation Day. Mrs Mona Linehan represented the school’s board of management. Pupils and staff from the Presentation Primary school also attended to mark the annual day of celebration of the Presentation Order, who have made such a huge contribution to Millstreet. When the three local secondary schools merged to form the community school in 1973, the ETB school, the Lay Secondary School and the Presentation Girls’ School became a new school, the Community School. The order’s mission and values of helping those in need and to be agents of change in society are still at the forefront of MCS in 2020 as the school continues to embrace the message of the founder, Nano Nagle.
