2019 Global Goals Calendar Published by MCS

This is the second year that our school has produced a calendar highlighting the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals.  The aim of the calendar is two-fold.  Firstly, to enable the students involved in the artwork on the calendar to learn about the different Goals.  Secondly, to encourage all members of our school community - students, parents/guardians, teachers, members of the Board of Management to become familiar with each of the Goals.  

This year we decided to produce an English and Irish version of the calendar.  Our Art teacher, Mrs. Moynihan, worked with a group of 2nd year students to paint the UN logos in both languages.  Mrs. Horgan (Irish teacher) then translated all the headings and text into Irish.  All students have been given a copy of the calendar to take home.
