Millstreet Community School Tidy Towns Class Joins Forces for Community Cleanup

This morning, the Tidy Towns class from Millstreet Community School took to the streets of Millstreet for a litter-picking initiative, collecting nearly a full black bag of rubbish. The effort is part of the school’s community involvement program, particularly for students participating in the Gaisce Awards.

The Tidy Towns initiative encourages students to take an active role in maintaining and improving their local environment, fostering a sense of pride and responsibility within the community.

“This initiative not only helps keep Millstreet looking its best but also brings people together to make a tangible difference,” said Teacher Eileen Lyons

Projects like this highlight the power of community-driven efforts in creating a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming environment. Millstreet Community School continues to inspire positive change and environmental stewardship through its active participation in local initiatives.
