Soccer Shield Squad Succumb to St Aidan's

The MCS Senior Soccer team had no luck today, losing 6-3 to St Aidan’s in an exciting and entertaining semi-final. 3 brilliant goals, from Hugh L , Alan O'L (2), wasn’t enough to make it to the final on the day. It was tough timing, with MCS missing a few players through injury. Despite this, the lads gave a great account of themselves.

Special mention to Conor C and Brandon A in 6th Yr who have played their final soccer game for MCS, with both living up to their sporting reputation in the school with hugely committed performances. There’s a lot to take from the game, with a very solid squad going into next year.

Thanks to Mr Magee & Mr Healy for their work with the team.  The 2nd Year Students were outstanding and very vocal in their support of the team. Thanks to Mr O'Callaghan, Ms Coakley, Ms O'Leary & Mr Lyons for accompanying the group.  Sincere thanks also to Banteer Community Sportsfield for the use of their marvellous astro pitch facilities.
