TY Trip To Cork

The TY group hit the city on March 2nd, first to attend the Cork Pops Orchestra in City Hall. Here, the orchestra, led by Evelyn Grant, played a mix of classical and pop music, complete with vocalist for a unique twist on the magic and power of music. This was followed by a visit to Cork Mosque, where the group were welcomed by Imam Amr and shown around the Mosque. The class had prepared questions and Imam Amr discussed these with students, explaining Muslim beliefs and practices. Two very different experiences giving a greater understanding and appreciation of our world made for an excellent TY outing.
