Water Action Day- March 3rd

MCS Green Schools Committee with coordinator Ms O’Leary will host a Water Action Day on March 3rd, helping to raise awareness on water conservation and encouraging ways we can improve our use of water by reducing waste. All students will wear blue for the day in school, reminding us of the importance of clean water and our role in protecting this resource. There will be quizzes for all students, and the whole school will take part in a ‘water walk’. Students will carry water on this walk to remind us to appreciate our easy access to clean water and to remember how this right is not enjoyed by most people globally. Winners will be also selected for the photo competition, ‘The Wonders of Water’.

To enter the photo competition, just take a photo of some aspect of the beauty or wonder of water you might encounter in your daily life, and send it to Ms O’Leary at a.oleary@millstreetcommunityschool.ie before March 2nd to be in with a chance to win.
