Spring Celebrations

The school marked several traditions marking the arrival of spring, including making St Brigid’s crosses. Ms Doherty’s Second Year R.E. class made a selection of crosses from rushes and took them home. The school also marked Ash Wednesday with blessed ashes available for all students over the day. The TY Young SVP groups also put their learning into action, making and selling chocolate hearts to raise funds for the SVP organisation, doubling up as St Valentine’s Day treats. This initiative raised € 176. Everyonemade sure to tuck into the chocolates before Lent!
