First Year Football Blitz
On the 29th of September the TY students organised a football blitz for all the first years. It was a much needed break for all involved from school life. The TY’s were very excited to be organising this because they really enjoyed doing it in first year.
The TY’s were assigned jobs to help with the running of the blitz. These included coaches, referees and umpires. They set up the pitches and got all the equipment ready. On the day the TY coaches met their teams.
Students were split into six separate teams with two TYs as their coaches. The teams had been picked randomly to promote talking and building relationships with students from other tutorials. The teams would then be placed into one of the three finals depending on how they fared out in there three matches.
Everyone got to play, meet new people and everyone had a great day. Thanks to Ms Love and Ms Fitzgerald and everyone involved.
