MCS Library Redevelopment Continues...
We were privileged to be joined today, Thursday April 25th 2019, by 10 Transition Year Students who voluntarily gave of their time during the Easter Holidays to help us to paint what will become the new MCS School Library. In an overwhelming display of solidarity and support, the students spent the day applying multiple coats of aptly-named ‘Quiet Haven’ paint to the walls with the help of Mr. Dineen and our Principal, Mr. Ó Síodhcháin.
We are very proud of the efforts of Daniel Buckley, Darragh Kelleher, Emma Ducey, Ryan Morris-Murray, Alison McCarthy, Maggie Moynihan, Darragh O’Riordan, Jack O’Sullivan, Rachel Kelleher and Barry Murphy.
New bespoke furniture will be arriving soon as well as new bookshelves that we look forward to restocking. We will also launch our special ‘Ionad Taighde’ research area within the school library, a space for project and related work for school events and activities. The trojan efforts of our TY students will be enjoyed by the school community and beyond for many years to come.
More updates will follow in the coming weeks and months as our redevelopment nears completion. Thanks to all for your support. Ar aghaidh linn le chéile!
