Amber Flag Raised
The school’s commitment to the well-being of all students is part of the Amber Flag initiative, run in the school by Ms Moynihan and a dedicated TY team. This helps to highlight positive mental health and self-care. The TY teams from 18/19 got the campaign off to a great start and now their successors in TY have achieved all the criteria to obtain the flag. This reflects the enormous amount of work being done in the school on this area. The school has also taken on the TY Ambassodor School initiative, which helps to raise awareness on these issues.
The Ambassador School Programme was established in 2013 and aims to encourage schools to become actively involved in mental health promotion. The programme provides a framework, structure and incentive for schools to integrate mental health activities into their school planning and rewards schools that go the extra mile.
